I am a mother of twins.
I don’t breastfeed. I feed them store bought purees. I vaccinate. I eat carbs. I drink wine. I complain. I yell. I cry. I let the laundry pile up. I have a career. I rarely style my hair or do my makeup. Most of my wardrobe doesn’t fit or is stained with spit up.
I don’t love every moment.
I read more Buzzfeed articles than books to my girls. Instead of getting down on the floor to play, I get down on the couch to play video games.
But I also worry and protect. I comfort. I cherish. I bundle. I create memories and a warm place. I laugh. And I love.
